Knowing what these toxins are can help keep your beloved pets safe. Some of these toxins are obvious and others not so much. So, our goal is to bring to light the top 10 poisonous things to keep your pets from encountering. The seeds from an avocado also can cause serious problems for your pet if they are swallowed. The seed can protentional get lodged in your pets\u2019 stomach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2. Onions, Garlic, Chives<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These three items can kill off your pets red blood cells causing them to become anemic. If your pet were to eat too much of these foods, they can become poisonous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>3. Chocolate<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is one of those foods that is commonly known as a toxin to pets. But did you know that just a little bit of chocolate can cause your pet to encounter vomiting and diarrhea. Too much chocolate on the other hand can cause much worse seizures, irregular organ function and can sometime result in death. This one is for sure something you want to keep out of your pets always out of reach.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>4. Alcohol<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alcohol is another toxin to pets. Alcohol in pets has the same effects as it does to humans. It can compromise your pets\u2019 organ function and potentially can cause death. Also, the smaller the dog the more severe the effect are.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>5. Xylitol<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Xylitol is an artificial sweetener commonly found in gum and other foods. For pets Xylitol is a tasty temptation that can potential lead to death if too much is ingested. Xylitol in pets can cause liver and pancreatic failure due to how quickly pets can absorb sugar into their bloodstream.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>6. Grapes<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Grapes seem to still be a mystery as to why they are toxic to pets such as dogs, but they have been known to cause kidney failure in dogs. With this toxic food a little goes a long way. 1 or 2 grapes can potential become toxic to a dog. Oh, and you may be wondering are raisins toxic since grapes are? Yes, they are just as toxic to dogs as grapes are!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>7. Saga Palms<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These tasty little nuts even in a small amount can be extremely poisonous to your pets! Macadamia nuts in pets can cause the following vomiting, diarrhea, and lethargy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>8. Raw Eggs<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Raw eggs are not technically toxic but can cause food poisoning just to like with humans. If the eggs are cooked, they can be tasty treats for your pets!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>9. Caffeine<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is one that you are going to want to keep away from your pets!&nbsp; Caffeine is extremely deadly to your beloved pets.
