For as long as I can remember, I have loved animals. GOD has blessed me and is giving me the best job ever! Through GOD, I have been able to work with a lot of endangered species and help to raise some of them from birth. My favorite animal? ALL!!!!!! My career is my passion, and it just runs in my blood. Cristal
Veterinary Technician RVT

Cristal was born in Puerto Rico and has an Associate degree in Animal Science. As a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT), one of her most outstanding achievements is dedicating her career to caring for animals. She has a special love for capybaras and Hyacinth macaws, and she finds great joy in performing dentals on pets, knowing she’s improving their health and well-being. Outside of work, Cristal loves going to church and cherishing time with her sister and cousin. An interesting part of her past is that she once played softball at a high level and nearly went professional. In addition to her love for animals, she has a passion for playing the drums, embracing music as a creative outlet. Her favorite color is green, reflecting her appreciation for nature and life. At home, she shares her days with Cloe, her energetic Chihuahua, whom she has loved for five years, and Frito, her 28-year-old Blue-fronted Conure, who was a rescue and now lives a spoiled and happy life. Cristal’s life revolves around faith, family, and animals, and she continues to make a difference in the world, one pet at a time.

Kendra Nethery
Veterinary Technician

My name is Kendra, I was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska, where I got my first job at 16 working at an exotic specialty hospital. That is where I discovered my love of exotics and especially birds! I drove to Texas with my dog Mooney in 2019, just before COVID started, and got a job at a local pet store that furthered my love of avian and exotic care. I started working as a vet tech in 2022 and have worked hard to advance my skills and knowledge. Outside of my professional life I enjoy trying new foods and seeing new things! I enjoy spending time outdoors with my two dogs, Mooney and Atlas. When it's too hot for outdoor activities, I like to spend my time drawing, painting, and practicing photography. In addition to my 2 pups, I have 2 cats named HotSauce and ChiliBean, and a 19-year-old African Grey named Rocky. I hope to go back to school to finish my degree and work with wildlife and conservation.

I look forward to helping people help their pets!
